About the Creator Track:

Five years ago, LA-based brand Tower 28 launched Clean Beauty Summer School (CBSS): a collective effort by founders and brand experts in the beauty industry to support the growth of majority Black-owned small beauty businesses. This initiative was born from a quest to help fight systemic racism and injustice by spotlighting and supporting entrepreneurs in the clean beauty space.

In its second year, the program expanded to welcome BIPOC-owned beauty brands. Since then, CBSS has grown into a powerful network of 40+ alumni who’ve gone on to launch into Sephora, Ulta Beauty, and Target. Past participants include Hanhana Beauty, Rosen Skincare, Nopalera, and 54 Thrones.

In 2024, to celebrate CBSS Year 5, a new track for content creators was launched. Amy Liu, founder and CEO of Tower 28 Beauty, saw the journey of the content creator as strikingly similar to that of a founder - filled with constant learning, personal investment, and the need for support and community. The Creator Track is designed to empower emerging content creators with the tools, mentorship, and network they need to grow in the beauty and wellness space.

What You Get:

10 virtual education sessions covering everything from content strategy to brand partnerships
Promotion and exposure on Tower 28’s social channels
1-on-1 mentorship with an established creator in the beauty or social media space
Opportunity to win a $10,000 year-long creator contract with Tower 28 Beauty to support an upcoming campaign and a $10,000 legal retainer. The winner will be flown out to LA to attend the influencer launch event.
Access to a network of creators, retailers, brand founders, and industry leaders

Program Commitment:

Virtual Orientation session on May 27
10 virtual sessions taught by our expert teachers (1.5 hours/week)
Classes: Every Week from 10-11:30am PST. Events will be held via Zoom on the following dates:
- June 5
- June 12
- June 18
- June 26
- July 3
- July 10
- July 17
- July 24
- July 31
- August 7
- August 14
- August 21
  *Dates are subject to change due to teacher availability

Mentorship Sessions: Each finalist will be paired with a mentor and receive a total of 3 hours of 1-on-1 office hours
- These can be scheduled in 1-hour sessions or broken up however the mentor and finalist prefer
- Dates and times will be coordinated directly between the mentor and finalist
Final Submission & Judging: At the end of the program, finalists will be asked to submit a final piece of content that reflects everything they’ve learned throughout CBSS.

Eligibility/Qualifications:
All applicants must meet the following eligibility criteria:

Must have an active TikTok or Instagram presence and less than 50k followers.
Must have quality content (Lighting, High Resolution, B-Roll, Great in front of the camera)
Must be US or Canada (Quebec excluded)-based
Available to attend ALL weekly sessions (June 3-August 26, 2025)
Must be at least 18 years old as of the time of submission
Must identify as BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, or another marginalized community
